I used it on my recent trip to Italy. It held my cell phone, cash and camera. Very useful. I give it two thumbs up.

    Required for every traveler.

Hidden neck and chest pouches aren’t always so hidden, but this is the best one I’ve used.

For the uninitiated, this works by wearing around your neck over your chest and hanging the strap around your neck.

This really requires a bloushed or untucked shirt, or closed jacket because the chest pouch will create a silhouette after you insert any items of substance.

The wallet is made of polyester and nylon for their abilities to resist perspiration, the hypoallergenic contact surface can become warm but not necessarily uncomfortable. The zipper is plastic nylon and the zipper pull is non-ferric, likely aluminum. The wallet doesn’t have metal so it slips through airport metal detectors but IT WON’T KEEP THE ITEMS FROM BEING DETECTED so wannabe smugglers need to use something else.

With all of the miles I’ve traveled and checkpoints I’ve gone through, Eagle Creek concealed pouches and wallets are the best, always recommended.

The Eagle Creek Travel Gear Security Wallet I’ve purchased twice (the original was given away and I liked it so much I wanted to replace it). It is made of soft cloth material and all-plastic hardware so it does not cause any skin chafing and is light and comfortable. It has a zipper pocket for $, and some smaller pockets for receipts, etc. It easily holds multiple passport books (if traveling with family and one person is holding all documents). The neck strap is of light material so doesn’t create a burden on your neck. This product is also thin (unless you stuff it full of contents) so it isn’t easily noticeable underneath your shirt or blouse. There’s pockets sized for credit cards, too. I can’t think of how to improve this product other than maybe have a place for a small miniature writing pen. This product is highly recommended.

I have a hidden waist pouch product from the same manufacturer of similar material and I prefer this neck pouch as it’s more easily accessible when traveling.

I second the opinion of Road Warrior — it’s a fine product.

However, when it comes to the “review” by Anonymous Anonymous, that’s obviously a plant by the company that makes the product. (Note the wording, and also the fact that it appears verbatim attached to another such product by the same company.) It isn’t real and should be removed from the queue.

I bought this item (light tan color) for a mission trip to Colombia. I was able to hold my passport, ipod touch, cash, credit card, earphones, and a small cannon camera without any problem. I kept it across my shoulder for the entire 1 week trip with no discomfort. It could hide under my cloths easily and it looked like a small purse when it was out. I was able to access everything without pulling it all apart.

The two things that I didn’t like was that the color was very see through. I had to make sure my passport was backwards so only the blue would show and I had to keep a piece of paper over my credit card because you could see the card through the fabric.

The other was that the neck strap was really long. You could adjust it but the extra length kept getting in the way of the Velcro.

Regardless, I would buy this item again and hope my lasts for a long time!

I bought this wallet for myself since I have used neck wallets for many years and my old one was looking pretty bad.

I really wanted a tri-fold wallet but I thought I would try this one. I didn’t like it so I sewed two little pieces of velcro on the back to hold it folded and that worked really well.

    Look at: [...]

Sewing it was not easy because the cloth is really tough. Like leather or canvas. Surprisingly tough! for thin nylon material.

It has lots of pockets and when they are folded, they lock the stuff in them well.

I just got back from a ski trip to Canada and it worked great. I can wear it under my arm and not on my chest and it is very comfortable and easy to access that way. I even was able to keep my hotel key on a light nylon line tied to one of the neck straps which worked well, too.

I sent Eagle Creek the suggestion about adding velcro to the design to make it more user friendly. We’ll see what they do with that.

The one thing I don’t like is that there is no stop on the strap adjuster and it can just slide off the strap. A little metal or plastic stop would be a nice touch. The knot that I put in the strap to stop the adjuster slide looks funky.

I purchased two of these for myself and my adult daughter to use on a cruise vacation. We needed them less for keeping items hidden than for keeping them handy without having to carry a purse. My digital camera fits nicely inside and there’s room for a passport, cruise ship card and cash. In addition to wearing around the neck, it can be attached inside a back pack to make it easier to find and retrieve small items.

Ten years ago I used to keep my passport and other valuables in a money belt inside my pants for maximum security. Now you would have to be crazy to go through airport security with anything hidden underneath your clothes. So this security wallet has become the best way to keep your passport safe while traveling. Mostly you can keep it under your shirt to avoid attracting attention, and right before you go through airport security or passport control, you pull it out from under your shirt.

I bought this for a business trip to India and the UK.

Excellent product. Worked like a charm, no discomfort, even in a hot climate.

Highly recommended, very well made. A brilliant design.

After having found a money belt to be impractical (because it is hard to get to!), I purchased this neck wallet. It was very useful. I could wear it outside my shirt when appropriate or tuck it in under my shirt or sweater.
